Supporting and promoting the use of the Welsh language in the communities of Neath Port Talbot County Borough


Menter Iaith CNPT:

·   Offers youth and children opportunities to socialise through the medium of Welsh

·   Encourages social clubs and voluntary groups to use the Welsh language

·   Helps Welsh learners improve their skills

·   Promotes the use of the Welsh language as a marketing tool in business

·   Encourages Welsh speakers to use the Welsh language and to pass the language on to their children

·   Raises the confidence of Welsh speakers and improves their skills

·   Raises the profile of the Welsh language and its public image

Ospreys Match Programme

·   Serves as a local resource and information centre for the Welsh language.  Offers a translation service (simultaneous translation equipment available).  Information on local Welsh classes; cylchoedd meithrin (Welsh medium nursery groups) and Welsh education.
