Neath Sub-Committee
We had an excellent evening at Neath Town Hall last night. Despite the rain and the humidity about 60 people came to take part in the quiz and to hear the legendary Heather Jones perform. We are very grateful to the Llywelyn stall at Neath Market for their donation towards the refreshements on the evening and to Tesco in Neath.
Upper Aman Sub-Committee
Last Saturday Cwm Gors RFC was jam-packed! We had arranged a gig with Nevarro C2 Battle Of The Bands winners this year, Peri and The Last Republic. Despite The Lions result during the afternoon everyone was in a good mood and it was a very lively night! The Last Republic have reached the last 6 out of over 3000 bands in The Road To V competition, go to the festival website to vote for them!

Aman Uchaf Sub-committee Launch
A very successful launch night was held in the Mount Pleasant Inn, Gwaun-cae-gurwen, Thursday night, April 16th. We were very fortunate to have Alun Gaffey, Catrin Siriol and Tom Hamer to perform. The sub-committee are planning on arranging more activities and gigs in the area.

Trip to Wimbledon
We went to Wimbledon on the hottest day of the year so far. Wimbledon was full with tennis fans hoping to see Andy Murray succeed. There were some local people on the bus as well as pupils from Ysgol Ystalyfera. Everyone had a wonderful day in the sunshine.
Pontardawe Sub-Committee
We had a louder night than usual at the Gwachel last Thursday with Yr Ods and Y Bandana performing at Gigs y Gwach. The gig gave Yr Ods a chance to warm up for their gig at Glastonbury this weekend. Y Bandana are a young band from the Caernarfon area, everyone enjoyed their set and they will definately be invited back to the Gwach. We're now looking forward to the End of Term BBQ at the Gwach on the 18th of July with Crys and Creision Hud playing.
Gigs y Gwach 23rd April
We had a very successful gig at the Pontardawe Inn, Thursday the 23rd of April. Unfortunately Dan Amor wasn’t able to perform as advertised so Y Gwyddel (The Irishman) Conor Martin and his brother Rhys two members of the rock group Plant Duw were booked at the last minute. They played a varied set ranging from blues style songs to a much loved classic from Ryan and Ronnie. Our main act was Angharad Brinn Morgan. Although her set was more classical than what we usually have at the Gwach everyone was spellbound by her beautiful singing voice. The audience had enjoyed her set so much that they asked for two encores! We are very grateful to David Powell the new owner of The Gwach for letting us continue with Gigs y Gwach. David is a former pupil of Ysgol Ystalyfera. Come and join us next month on the 21st to see Aron Elias former member of Pep le Pew and Y Rei performing and El Parisa.
